For private and industrial use, we supply noise plugs and ear defenders for many applications, including standard noise plugs, flat response noise plugs and electronic noise plugs/ear defenders.

The Biopact is a custom moulded hearing protector with a small handgrip and removable retaining cord (if required). Incorporated within the protector is a noise-reducing filter. With a choice of four different filters we have the ability to tailor a solution to a specific environment and provide higher attenuation at certain frequencies.

The Compact provides the wearer a more comfortable and hygienic product allied to the fact that because of the filter speech and audible-warning sounds can be heard. The feeling of isolation commonly associated with disposable earplugs is reduced and therefore a greater awareness of the general surroundings and potential dangers are heightened.

The Compact is available in a selection of colours helping management to regulate the use of the product. For use within the food processing industry a traceable version is available which incorporates a small steel bearing similarly for beverage or liquid producers a less dense version is available which allows the protector to float.

Motorcyclists Noise Plugs

Motorcyclists are constantly exposed to high levels of noise caused predominantly by the wind. Measurements made by the Occupational Health and Safety Service of the Dutch Government showed that at 50mph the sound level under the helmet was 90 decibels.

Speed has a significant effect on the sound level and for each 12mph increase in speed; the intensity of the sound is doubled. This means that at just over 60mph, the motorcyclist is exposed to approximately the same sound levels as a circular saw operator who would not be allowed by law to operate this equipment without the mandatory use of hearing protection. Using the Noise Regulations figures laid down for the workplace, the safe exposure times relative to riding a motorcycle at certain speeds are as follows

Apart from being uncomfortable and tiring, high noise levels can permanently damage our hearing. In the early '90's,a custom made hearing protector was developed for the Dutch Police Force that could be used by police motorcyclists to safeguard their hearing. Extensive research resulted in a special filtered earpiece that cut out no more sound than was necessary to ensure the right amount of protection. Constructed from a durable soft silicone Biopact products are manufactured in such a way that they fit comfortably under the helmet without degrading the effectiveness through deformation of the seal in the ear canal.

The concept of any custom made item is its individuality and uniqueness to its user. Biopact is no exception and user acceptance is very high, each pair being individually crafted under the strictest conditions from exact impressions of the users' ears. The durability of our product will provide years of use (most users replace after 4 years) which equates to about 5 pence per day - a small price to pay to guarantee the protection of one of your most important senses.

The Biopact is independently tested to ISO4869 and DIN17460. They conform to the European Normalization EN352-2 standards laid down for hearing protection and carry the CE 121 marking.

Musicians Plugs:

Individuals often choose not to wear protection because of three basic problems with the suitability of conventional foam and wax plugs.

Firstly and most importantly, they produce 10 - 20 dB of extra high end reduction than in mid and low frequencies. This bias distorts the sound and disrupts the fidelity. Secondly, they have a large occlusion effect which makes the user hear their own voice with a boomy or hollow quality. Finally they attenuate more than necessary leaving the individual isolated and unable to perform. The result is many people risk their hearing by wearing loosely fitting earplugs or no protection at all so they are able to hear more clearly.

Custom made hearing protection provides an individual and unique fit for the user allowing guaranteed levels of protection and comfort.

The ER15 Musicians earplugs utilize a revolutionary and innovative flat attenuating filter covering a very wide sound spectrum (125 - 8000Hz). Sound is attenuated at all frequencies by 15dB so the fidelity of the original sound is preserved with no loss of clarity.

ER15's are manufactured to ensure that the natural resonant frequency of the open ear is maintained but at a reduced level. This avoids the large occlusion effect, associated with foam style plugs.

Flat attenuating 9dB and 25dB filters are also available.

Shooting Plugs:

Custom Made Hearing Protection for Shooting

Active Shooter is custom made hearing protection, which closes the auditory canal from its surroundings. A microphone is situated on the outside, which picks up the surrounding sounds. The integrated electronics send the signal through a minuscule loudspeaker to the auditory canal. This prevents the sound level from exceeding 85 dB(A). On top of that, the Active Shooter provides additional amplification for soft surrounding sounds. This way nothing will escape the hearing while loud sounds are automatically reduced to a safe level.

The Active Shooter is the perfect solution for people who find themselves in noisy situations where communication with their direct surroundings is essential.

Sleep Plugs:

Custom Made Earpieces To Aid Peaceful Sleep

Many people have difficulty sleeping due either to their snoring partner, unnatural work pattern or because of living in a noisy environment.

Sleepfit was developed initially for shift workers who needed to sleep during the daytime. However, users reported their effectiveness at reducing the level of their partners snoring to a degree where it became possible for them to sleep soundly without distraction.

The concept of any custom made item is its individuality and uniqueness to its user. Sleepfit is no exception and user acceptance is very high, each pair being individually crafted under the strictest conditions from exact impressions of the users' ears. Constructed from a very soft durable silicone, Sleepfit is cut in such a way that it can be worn comfortably within the ear all night.

The durability of our product will provide years of use (most users replace after four years), which equates to about 5 pence per day - a small price to pay for a sound night's sleep.
